We are Dovetail Antiques and we certainly know a thing or two about furniture. Based on Ecclesall Road South, we specialise in selling and restoring Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture. The owner Darren Beedle, has been in the antiques trade for decades since he left school and although we are in upgraded premises, the business has been running in one form or another for over 50 years. It was originally called Peter James Antiques, and some of our older customers still call it that today.

When we first started there were antique dealers all over Sheffield, but now we are one of the few that are left. Nevertheless, people still travel from all over the country to visit Sheffield for its specialist antiques.

We have a huge range of wardrobes, bookcases, tables, chairs, cabinets and chests of drawers, and if we don't have the exact item you are looking for, we will do our best to find it for you.

We can offer expert advice on all types of furniture and have even appeared on a past BBC television programme named Car Booty. We have even undertaken restoration work for many high-profile clients including various footballers and celebrities all over the country.
